The Parallel Learning Advantage
Tintern Schools offers high quality, single-sex education for our Junior and Middle school boys and girls.
From 2010 a joint Senior College for boys and girls will be located on the Tintern campus. For students, it’s the perfect balance; the best of both worlds.
Junior and Middle School boys and girls learn on separate campuses, where they are encouraged to develop independence, build self-confidence and self-awareness and strengthen their interpersonal skills.
Senior students benefit from a mixed learning environment and social experiences that will equip them for tertiary learning and their life beyond the school and the support of their teachers.
This new Senior College will be located in the Anderson Centre, with common facilities for Years 11 and 12 and separate learning spaces for Year 10 boys and girls.
This model has been operating less formally for the past decade for students undertaking the International Baccalaureate, VCE/VET studies and more recently the VCE.
Underpinning this exceptional curriculum is an outstanding pastoral care program that ensures that each student develops important life skills such as teamwork, compassion, global citizenship, cooperation, problem solving, optimism and work ethic.
But above all, what makes the Tintern Schools such special places, is our staff of committed educational professionals, working together to produce the best learning outcomes for every student, every day.
