Terms and conditions


Years 4 & 5 Junior School Scholarships
Each Semester scholarship recipients will be reviewed by the Head of Junior School to ensure that the student is performing at an above-average capacity intellectually and contributing to the greater life of the School. Junior School scholarships provide up to 50% off annual school tuition fees and will have a tenure up to and including Year 9.

Scholarships are not available to full-fee paying overseas students.

Applicants must be in Years 3 or 4 in 2010.


Year 7 Academic and Music Scholarships

Academic Scholarships
Academic Scholarships are offered to selected students who demonstrate special abilities in a range of academic areas and show a willingness and ability to contribute to School life. Academic Scholarships provide up to 50% off annual school tuition fees.

Each Semester scholarship recipients will be reviewed by the Head of Campus to ensure that the student is performing at an above-average capacity intellectually and contributing to the greater life of the School.
 
Scholarships are not available to full-fee paying overseas students.

All applicants must be in Year 6 in 2010.

Music Scholarships
Music Scholarships are offered to selected students who demonstrate, at an audition, outstanding musical ability. An ability to maintain steady progress in academic work must also be demonstrated through participation in the Academic Scholarship Test. Music scholarships may provide up to 50% off annual school tuition fees and up to 100% off music tuition fees.

Each Semester scholarship recipients will be reviewed by the Head of Campus to ensure that the student is performing at an above-average capacity intellectually and contributing to the musical life of the School through involvement in the orchestra, instrumental groups etc. To retain a music scholarship, recipients must display an ongoing commitment to ensemble performance. Music tuition fee remission is based on 30 lessons per year at the rates applying for extra-curricular music tuition at Tintern Schools. 

Under no circumstances will an applicant be allowed to sit for the examination or music audition other than on the dates specified without express approval of the Principal.

Year 10 General Excellence Scholarships

Each Semester scholarship recipients will be reviewed by the Head of Campus to ensure that the student is performing at an above-average capacity intellectually and contributing to the greater life of the School. General Excellence scholarships provide up to 50% off annual school tuition fee remission.

Scholarships are not available to full-fee paying overseas students.

Applicants must be in Year 9 in 2010.

 
The above scholarships (Years 4,5,7 and 10) are only open to applicants not currently enrolled to Tintern Schools. The above scholarships , once awarded, (Years 4,5,7 and 10) will only apply to a recipient whilst he / she is enrolled as a student of Tintern Schools.

The School reserves the right to manage the conduct of the School and determine its policies, including the right to change, re-organise, re-locate, curtail or cease any or all of the activities or operations of the School or transfer its assets. This right may be exercised by the School at any time in its sole and absolute discretion.

These conditions may be varied at any time by the School in its sole and absolute discretion, by written notice to the parent/guardian, or by letter generally circulated to parents/guardians through the School’s communication systems, and will apply from the time they are promulgated.
