Tintern Parents Association
The Tintern Parents Association is one of the School's main community groups. Representation on this group is by current parents of students attending the Girls Grammar.
As a community group, the Tintern Parents Association exists to provide support to students, other parents and staff as well as supporting various programs and events organised by the School. All parents are invited to become involved: this is a great opportunity to make friends across the school community and build a spirit of togetherness. Throughout the year, the association is also involved in raising funds. Together, the various community groups and the Tintern Schools Board identify how funds raised through community activities will be used to provide facilities that will best benefit students.
The events and activities run by the various community groups represent a vital contribution to the enhancement of the school experience for our students and in fostering a community atmosphere across the school in support of parents. Some of the events the Tintern Parents Association is involved with include the biannual cross-campus schools fair, garden tours and other excursions, community movie nights, an annual quiz night, Mothers' and Fathers' Day stalls, book stalls during the annual Book Week, and the secondhand book stall held at the end of each year.
