Since 1877, Tintern Grammar has been a leader in the fields of teaching, learning and the care and development of each and every child. Our school is set on 40 acres of beautiful tree-lined grounds, with magnificent sporting facilities and fields, even our own working farm.
Welcome to the world that is Tintern Grammar.

Tintern Grammar encompasses the parallel learning model, which sees students educated in both co-educational and single gender settings according to their age and stage.
Our younger students learn in separate gender classes at an age when gender tends to play a greater role in influencing learning styles. This allows us to tailor our teaching methods to create the optimal learning and pastoral environments to support each child. Our students feel more confident to take risks, be academically courageous and challenge themselves in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Students are introduced into co-educational classes when social development is an important part of their growth and maturation with the move to more inquiry based and independent learning, as they prepare for future study and work pathways.
Providing both single gender and mixed classes on a co-educational campus gives families the perfect balance between the academic and social development of their children and supports the development of young women and men of strong character who seek excellence and strive with confidence towards their future.
Tintern Grammar has a strong record of success, both academically and more generally. In 2019 our VCE/IB results are among the top in our region with over 5% of our Year 12 students in the top 1% in Australia, almost 30% of our Year 12 students were in the top 10% in Australia, over 40% of our Year 12 students were in the top 15% in Australia and over half our Year 12 students achieved an ATAR over 80 and so were in the top 20% in Australia. We are proud of our passionate, highly qualified staff who engage, inspire and support our students in their learning and social development. In addition to core learning we have an extensive sport program catering to individuals of all levels, from beginners to elite athletes – with no compulsory Saturday sport, so weekends are free for students to enjoy time with their families and to continue their involvement with community sport clubs.
Our International Program allows our students to experience and appreciate other countries and cultures, encouraging them to become global citizens and future leaders. We welcome International Students from throughout the world offering VCE, providing a true local experience and offerings of an extensive range of subject choices.
We are a connected, vibrant community providing many opportunities for our parents, families, staff and alumni to connect.
We foster strong character in young women and men,
enabling them to achieve personal excellence, strive with
confidence, and aspire to create a better world.
We are a connected and caring school community in the
Anglican tradition. We guide our students to develop the
values, disposition and capabilities needed to achieve
their potential and to experience a profound sense of
belonging in the world.
