About the School and the Role

Tintern Grammar is a leading independent school in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and it has a history of over 145 years. Tintern is an ELC to Year 12 School with a parallel learning model thereby providing the best learning opportunities for students through a mix of single sex and coeducational classroom experiences. The school is set in a beautiful expansive environment of gardens, ovals and impressive architecture.

Tintern Grammar is seeking to appoint an Administration Assistant to work within the dynamic Facilities Services Department. The successful applicant will report to the Facilities Manager and be an integral member of the Facilities Services team. The role is busy, diverse and interesting working with a great team as well as autonomously. The successful applicant will be an outstanding administrator with demonstrated ability to multitask.

You will have strong organisational and time management skills, an ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and competing requests with a high-level attention to detail.  A strong ability to build rapport and proactively resolve inquiries whilst providing a high level of customer service, resulting in an outstanding customer experience.

This is a part-time role working 5 days per week, Monday to Friday 9.30am to 2.30 pm.

Four weeks annual leave is applicable to this position.

About the Role

As Administration Assistant, you will be working collaboratively with the Facilities Services Team ensuring the efficient operation of the department. You should be confident, passionate about your job, and uphold the values and ethos of Tintern Grammar.

The successful applicant should have:

  • Previous experience as an Administrator
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite in particular Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and the ability to learn new software programs
  • Previous experience with school based administrative programs including CMMS would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skill, ability to build rapport with all internal and external stakeholders
  • A passion for problem-solving and achieving common goals
  • Attention to detail and strong time management skills are a must.
  • Ability to coordinate resources efficiently
