We are seeking to appoint a Chaplain, an inspiring and innovative leader who will work closely with the Principal and Heads of School to foster a caring, supportive environment where all students can reach their full potential.

About the role

As a respected and influential member of our school community, the Chaplain will provide spiritual leadership and guidance, fostering a sense of belonging and support for students and staff alike. Grounded in the Anglican tradition, the Chaplain will authentically integrate faith within an inclusive, caring, and connected community.

As Chaplain, you will ideally be an ordained minister in the Anglican Church, actively engaged in its mission and ministry. You will be a passionate advocate for empowering young people through education, with a proven ability to lead, inspire, and nurture their spiritual growth and overall wellbeing.

About you

The Chaplain plays a vital role in the following areas:

  • Christian Leadership: demonstrates active and committed membership in the Anglican Church.
  • Educational Leadership: fosters a supportive and connected learning environment through exceptional teaching and collegiality.
  • Pastoral and Wellbeing Leadership: brings proven experience in pastoral care and chaplaincy services, ideally within a school setting. Advocates for wellbeing, offering pastoral support and care to the entire School community.
  • Community Leadership: collaborates with fellow educators and actively participates in the broader life of the School, upholding the values of the Tintern Compass. Connects meaningfully with students, staff, and families as an inspiring and engaging speaker.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Teaching qualifications and school experience is essential
  • An ordained minister in the Anglican Church would be highly desirable.
