Tintern is an ELC to Year 12 School with a parallel learning model thereby providing the best learning opportunities for students through a mix of single sex and coeducational classroom experiences. Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint a highly capable and experienced Personal Assistant and Database administrator. You will efficiently manage the Assistant Principal’s office by providing excellent administrative support and be professionally presented as the first point of contact and liaison. You will also provide proficient support to the Director of Studies.
The successful applicant will be a high performer and have proven experience and capability as a Personal Assistant working with databases. You will have a strong work ethic, excellent organisation and highly developed communication skills. You will be very well organised with exceptional attention to detail and deliver quality work. This is an autonomous role with numerous opportunities to add value. You will have strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role you will have the ability to efficiently manage and prioritise competing demands, to effectively meet key timeline requirements.
About the Role
The role will provide high quality administrative support in order to achieve the Assistant Principal’s operational and strategic objectives and will deliver on designated administrative operational work for the Director of Studies. The Personal Assistant /Administrator works closely with members of the Executive, Heads of Department, teaching staff and administrative staff at Tintern Grammar.
This role is challenging, interesting and instrumental in ensuring the smooth and effective flow of daily activities for these key areas. You will be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and thrive in a busy environment. You will be passionate about working within a School environment with professionals.
The successful applicant will have:
·demonstrated on the job experience as a PA and proficiency in databases
·strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate quality work
·effective organisational and planning skills
·highly articulate, with a sense of urgency, and the ability to manage the expectation of competing priorities
·experience in implementing effective and efficient process improvement systems
·a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
·a post-secondary study in business administration or related area and/or comparable on the job experience
·highly developed computer skills and literacy, particularly with MS Office and database management systems
·high level written and verbal communication skills
·a desire to work collaboratively and as part of the School community
·confidence with a sensitive and open communication style
·Experience with Synergetic database or a similar system
