A huge congratulations to Lilly Trevorrow (Year 8), who competed in the Modern Pentathlon Australian Championships in early February, and took out the gold medal in her age group. Lilly had to compete in five disciplines: run, swim, shoot, fence, ride. The Championships took place across a variety of locations in Melbourne. Lilly qualified for this event by competing successfully in a number of events run by Modern Pentathlon Victoria last year and achieving qualifying times across all disciplines.

Lilly received her Medal from Kitty Chiller, Australian Chef de Mission at the 2016 Rio Olympics and former Australian Olympian. Well done, Lilly!

Lilly also won her age group in the Tetrathlon State Championships in December. Competitors from all over the state came together to compete at Gladysdale in the State Championships for the relatively new Pony Club sport of Tetrathlon.

Lilly was one of the keen competitors in this event. She started the day with a good swim and a solid run. Lilly’s shoot was near perfect giving her a narrow lead moving into the final leg, the ride. The final phase for the day was a hickstead, a mix of show jumps and cross-country elements that included a slip rail. Lilly did a perfect round for maximum points securing her 1st place and State Champion title for the 12-14yo Girls 2016.

Congratulations Lilly!
