Last Monday, Tintern Grammar’s Swim Team represented the school at the EISM Champions Swimming Carnival at MSAC. On a cold night, the team swam extremely well with a number of students placing against strong opposition from all schools in the EISM.

A highlight of the night was the final event, the boys 200m open freestyle relay, where our School Captain, Joel Pearce-Schmidt, made up a quarter of a pool length in the final leg of the relay securing the gold medal for our senior boy’s relay team in what was an extremely exciting race.

Thank you to Graeme Stephenson for all of his hard work as coach, Miss Upjohn for her administration of the team and to the students for their excellent results. Congratulations to you all and a special mention to the following students:

Kaidin Dalzotto – 3rd Open 100m Freestyle, 1st U/16 Boys 50m Freestyle A, 2nd U/16 Boys 50m Backstroke A and 2nd U/16 Boys 50m Butterfly A
Sienna Dass – 2nd U/14 Girls 50m Butterfly A
Jade Hutchinson – 3rd U/16 Girls Freestyle A, 1st U/16 50m Breaststroke A
