Last week, we officially launched SPARK, our signature Year 9 program, and the excitement was unmistakable.

Two years in the making, SPARK was brought to life by Tintern Grammar Head of Middle School Catherine Murphy and a selection of Year 9 students who have been fortunate enough to be the first to experience the program this year. Together, they gave families a glimpse of the unique year that awaits.

Grounded in Harvard’s Project Zero, with student growth assessed in partnership with The University of Melbourne and skills recognised through Credly micro-credentials, SPARK is designed to inspire an incredible journey of growth and discovery.

Leaving the traditional classroom behind, students will take part in a dynamic combination of immersive experiences, inquiry and outdoor education, building skills, confidence and a real zest for life.

And what better way to launch a program than with a little fanfare? A special thanks to the Middle School cast of Annie, who opened the evening in spectacular style.

Tintern Grammar's Reconciliation mural is underway. Students across the School recently took part in creative workshops exploring our local land, flora and fauna, as we begin bringing our large-scale Reconciliation mural to life. It is an honour to work alongside First Nations artist Angie Cleaver and mural artist Brad Colling, whose knowledge and creativity are helping shape this meaningful project on connection, belonging and storytelling.
