Congratulations to our Young Farmers team who achieved great success at the Australian Sheep and Wool Show in Bendigo over the weekend. The team comprising of 37 Year 7 to 12 students ably showed our Romney sheep and also assisted other breeders.

A Romney ewe placed third in the schools interbreed competition, and Ernie’s excellent fleece also won first place in both the schools competition and the British Longwool category against commercial breeders! A fantastic effort by all involved!

Students also had the opportunity to try their hand at judging sheep themselves and impressively Hannah Taylor in Year 10 and Amira Ferrier in Year 7 both placed third in their respective age categories – an amazing effort given the number of participants!

Congratulations to everyone involved! Good luck for your next big event at the Royal Melbourne Show!
